Getting started and estimates
How do I get an estimate?
Call us or send a request from our contact page. Tell us your address and what you would like done. A photo of the yard helps. We will come back to you with a clear answer.
How much does lawn care cost?
It depends on the size of the yard, the condition of the lawn, how often you want us and how easy it is to reach. We do not publish one price for every yard. Call us and we will give you a clear quote once we know what you need.
Do you do one-time jobs or only regular service?
Both. Many customers start with a one-time cleanup or a single visit and then add a regular schedule. Others only need an occasional job.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not for yard work in an accessible yard. We can agree on how we get in, such as a gate, and let you know when the work is done.
How soon can you start?
It depends on our schedule when you call. Several customers mention in their reviews that we responded and came out quickly.

Lawns and watering
How often should a lawn be mowed in Southern California?
Most lawns do well with a mow about once a week during the growing season and about every two weeks when growth slows. Read our full guide on mowing for more detail.
How short should I mow my lawn?
It depends on the grass. Bermuda and similar grasses are kept shorter, around 1 to 2 inches, while tall fescue and St. Augustine are kept taller, around 2.5 to 3.5 inches. Never remove more than about a third of the blade in one mow.
How often should I water my lawn?
Water deeply and less often rather than a little every day, and water early in the morning. Your local water agency may set watering days and offer rebates, so check their rules.
Should I bag the clippings?
Often not. Short clippings break down and return nutrients to the soil. Bag them if the grass is very long, wet or full of weeds.
Trees, hedges and brush
When is the best time to trim trees?
Dead and hazardous branches can come off at any time. For routine pruning, late fall through winter suits many trees. Check for active bird nests first, because they are protected in California.
Do you trim large trees?
We trim and prune many trees at the property. For very large trees or trees near power lines, we will tell you if a certified arborist is the better choice.
How often should hedges be trimmed?
Fast growing hedges often need trimming a few times a year, and slower ones less. Light, regular trims keep a hedge dense and tidy.
Can you clear brush and overgrown growth?
Yes. Clearing overgrown weeds, brush and debris is one of our most common jobs. For official fire safety and defensible space rules, check with your local fire authority.
